With the global recognition of the importance of climate change issues & the need for carbon mitigation, carbon accounting has recently attracted significant professional and academic attention. Carbon accounting plays an essential role in measuring, monitoring & managing an organisation’s carbon performance. In this talk, Dr Bui will provide insights into NZ organisations & how they respond to climate change issues, the NZ Emissions Trading Scheme & how prepared they are regarding carbon accounting & control systems. She will also discuss findings regarding
how the world’s largest companies are taking action.

Dr Bui is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the School of Accounting & Commercial Law at Victoria University of Wellington. She has 12 years' experience researching climate change, emissions trading & organisational response.
