Indulge in a three-course dinner at the Club to celebrate truffles.
Two days prior to this dinner, some members will have visited Heatherlea Oaks - a 10-acre lifestyle block situated in the Horowhenua region. Owners Arthur and Linda Cooper planted 230 Hazelnut and Oat trees which after careful monitoring and irrigation have been producing export-quality Perigold black truffle for six years. The pungent and aromatic taste of the Perigold black truffle is a delicacy admired around the world. Arthur and Linda, with their faithful truffle dog Pippa, take pride in harvesting and grading for culinary standards and assure the delivery of top grade, fresh black truffle.
At this dinner, Arthur will share his story - the highs and lows of owning a truffière.
This dinner is sure to be a highlight of the Club calendar this year.
