The Wellington Club is pleased to introduce you to the range of Special Interest Groups and activities that are available to all Club Members, spouses, and guests. Our groups are a great way to meet other members, and to explore hobbies and passions with like-minded people. If you would like tailored communication regarding our Special Interest Groups, please complete the survey below and we will be sure to keep you informed of events that might interest you.
While our existing groups cover a wide range of activities, we are always looking to expand our clubs list. If you have any particular interests that are not currently established clubs, we would love to hear from you. The ideas that express enough interest will be tailored into activities throughout the calendar year. Thank you for participating in the future success of your Club.
Billiards and Snooker
The Clubhouse contains a large and most impressive Billiard Room which boasts four full-sized slate-topped tables of international playing standard. The old hunting trophies and competition cups displayed add to the sporting atmosphere. This Billiard Room is very well used by our BRIG group who host numerous tournaments throughout the year, as well as introductory nights. The BRIG group welcomes members from any playing ability, from novice to expert. For more information on upcoming tournaments or classes, do not hesitate to contact group convener, Paul Jonson.

Book Club aims to be a casual forum for members to discuss books over a glass of wine, coffee, or cold beverage. Unlike the traditional Book Club, rather than books being assigned for each session, each member is asked to bring a book of their choice, whether it’s their favourite book or just the latest addition to their library, to introduce to the group for discussion. This club would be perfect for those of you who enjoy a good book and are looking for like-minded people to discuss it with, and to discover new books and genres. So grab your favourite book (or Kindle!) and come join us for a fun evening of story-sharing and socializing.

During the warmer months, the gardening group enjoy group outings to gorgeous gardens, heritage rose sights, or anywhere else where flora is abundant. In the winter, the Club will be looking to establish some indoor activities, such as speaker series, flower arranging, workshops, and the like. This is a great club for those that enjoy pottering around the garden and may have some useful tips and tricks to share.
The Wellington Club is lucky enough to have teamed up with The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club and have many great events planned. The Club's relationship with the RPNYC will be ongoing and will include many fun events including family days and Rum Races. Bring your sea legs and register your interest.
