Fourth Floor

Club Reception, Foyer and Office

Cloak Room/Luggage Room:
Opposite Reception

Secretary-Manager's Office:
The office of the Secretary Manager is located at the foot of the grand staircase. The Secretary Manager would be pleased to welcome you, his door is always open.

Function Manager's Office:
This office is located right next to the Secretary Manager’s Office

Wine Room:
A wide range of fine New Zealand wines is on display. Spirits and Beers are also available. The Club's cellar master can advise and recommend.

Reading Room and Library:
A quiet and peaceful room for relaxation containing New Zealand daily newspapers and business magazines. The Club library features a collection of old and new books, catalogued for easy reference.

The Wellington Room:
For small or medium size private functions. A curved room over- looking The Terrace. It includes a well-appointed bar and small television.

Featherston Room:
A room suitable for small functions, meetings or private dining.

McCarthy Room:
A similar private room to the Featherston Room for meetings or small functions. The mahogany wooden tables and chairs create a working atmosphere.

Card Room:
Antique card tables. A quiet room for Bridge players.

Bedroom Suites - Rooms 1 to 4 and Rooms 6 to 8.

Fifth Floor

Ante Room - Members' Bar:
The large semi-circular windows add to the charm and welcoming feel of this lounge. Designed for pre-lunch or dinner drinks or for large receptions and cocktail functions. A blend of 150 years of cherished history and contemporary design.

Billiard Room:
Four tables of international standard. The sporting atmosphere is enhanced by old hunting trophies and silver and pewter competition cups. The magnificent arched timber ceiling continues the curved architectural theme of the Club.

Main Dining Room:
Wellington's most elegant dining room. It seats up to 160 guests in a formal setting and is widely used for members’ functions or a leisurely dinner. Buffet and à la carte luncheons are also served. No cellphones, briefcases or business papers are permitted in the Dining Room.

NB: All Dining Rooms are designated as smoke free areas.

Private Dining Room:
Ideal for hosting a private family or corporate dinner, anniversaries and other select functions. This room radiates warmth and a personal atmosphere in keeping with the Club premises.

Sixth Floor

Members' Club Bar 'Lyon and Plates' and Lounge:
Modern in décor, where members and guests can enjoy light self-service lunches, complimentary coffee and tea, with bar service available on demand. This facility is for the enjoyment of all members and their guests and cannot be hired for a private function. Tidy casual dress (no jacket or tie required) is acceptable throughout the 6th floor. Business papers are allowed in this bar.

Quadrant Room:
With a curved frontage embracing the New Zealand native Pohutukawa tree, this room is reserved for breakfast for guests staying in the Club’s accommodation. It can also be used as dining room or booked for a private function.

Morrison Room:
A uniquely designed room that can serve as a seminar room, a board room for medium size functions, or a private dining room. Equipped with a roll-up screen for projection, it seats 20 to 30.

Business Centre:
A number of small rooms with working desks for privacy including communication facilities: facsimile, internet & email ports, photocopier and scanner.

Bedroom Suites - 10 to 12:
Three suites larger in size than the seven suites on the 4th floor.

Health and Fitness Centre:
A modern fully and equipped gymnasium with high technology aerobic systems and traditional weight training equipment. The experienced manager of the Centre can arrange massage therapy and Personal Trainers by appointment.

Changing Rooms:
Adjacent to the Fitness Centre. They can be used for changing from causal wear to formal wear for a Club function

Covered car parking:
38 Car parks are available, to members only. They can also be used by guests staying at the Club (included in the room rate)

Squash Court:
Inquire at the office for use - for members and reciprocal Club members.
