A presentation from Robyn Tuohy.
Arthritis is one of the leading causes of disability in New Zealand. There is no cure for arthritis, but it can usually be managed, and most people with arthritis can continue to lead productive and fulfilling lives. For the person who has been diagnosed with arthritis and for the family members who support them Arthritis New Zealand provides information, advice, support and links to others in a similar situation.
Robyn Tuohy is an experienced arthritis educator with a background in nursing and health psychology. She is committed to supporting people with arthritis to understand and manage their symptoms. Robyn has expertise in coaching for lifestyle change and self-management of chronic pain. The focus of Robyn’s seminar will be: discussion about arthritis including the more common types of arthritis (osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis); and evidence-based strategies that can assist with arthritis management.
