David Howman was the Director General of the World Anti-Doping Agency 2003-2016, is now the Chair of the Athletics Integrity Unit (IAAF), and a member of the Australian Government’s Sport Integrity Review Panel. His positions have seen him at the forefront of many international sporting events, conferences, meetings and controversies.

This talk will cover some of those, from BALCO to Armstrong, Essendon and Cronulla to Russia, and the political world of sport. There will be ideas on how the current challenges to the values of sport might be addressed both globally and in New Zealand.
